‘A sound mind in a sound body’ is an expression so familiar that it expresses a truth and formulates an ideal which every individual should set for himself. We, at DDPS, train our students for fitness because it is essential in one’s life as it accelerates good academic learning, builds self-esteem and promotes cooperation, teamwork and sportsmanship skills. To develop competitive spirit among students, we also organize sports week.
We impart training in various sports like cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, football etc. and indoor games like, carom, chess, table tennis and skating. We also have a Shooting Range in our campus.
Karate and Yoga training are our regular activities to ensure physical and mental fitness of our students.
We believe that the key to achieving excellence in sports lies in integrating sports and physical education with the regular educational curriculum, making it a compulsory activity of learning up to the secondary school level. As an institution, our Vision for sports is to provide thorough training to the young generation to ensure maximum participation and substantial victory in the future.
